Vintage Design
An important rectangular gold snuff box with rounded corners. The hinged cover is decorated with parallel strips forming a diamond pattern. The cover and base panels are adorned with palmette patterns on a matte background. The box is decorated with foliage patterns on “amati” background as well as in the rounded corners. On the box a monogram has been engraved A.S as well as an emblem: ducal crown surmounted by an eagle. Weight: 4.02in. (114g). Gold marks from the early 19th century. Eagle head, 18 K.
