The abstract wall sculpture FOLDWORK – TRIPTYCH by STUDIO BERG appears to be shifting between a three-dimensional line drawing and, when opened, gently evoking the idea of an unfolded altar piece. TRIPTYCH is a hybrid object for placing goods or hanging clothes on it. The initial idea for the FOLDWORK collection was to provide disregarded and primarily functional products in our household with a new appearance and give them their own personality in order to get them out of the utility rooms into the centre of our living-rooms.
The FOLDWORK – TRIPTYCH was originally developed for the exhibition ‘Room with Its Own Rules’ at Chamber NYC and is derived from the FOLDWORK collection.
