This is pretty much the most luxurious desk set ever made. Custom ordered in the early 90’s by a polish count for the princely sum of £17,000, in today’s money that’s a surreal £41,114. The dealer I purchased it off managed the probate for the sale so they saw all the original purchases prices. The Smythson’s 24ct gold tipped paper which is included was £800 a pad!
This suite is the only green example in the world, it is embossed with the Counts sypher which is a Crown very similar to the Rolex crown. The base of each piece is silk and finished with Asprey in gold
The condition is pretty much retail new so far as I can see, there may be the odd age or transport related patina mark but I can’t see any
The gilt scissors and letter opener come in a wonderful case which is rubber lined so they never slip out, the scissors are also engraved for Asprey
