These chairs were manufactured in The Netherlands in the 1940s.
The solid wooden frame of the chairs is constructed in a quite traditional and basic manner, which gives the chairs their minimalist appearance.
This minimalist form recalls modernist influences such as Cubism and De Stijl.
The cushions are reupholstered with a natural brown/beige cowhide which gives a very nice contrast with the dark wooden frame.
